Donating to the Become Part of the Story campaign means supporting Lacor Hospital’s needs and helping this important hospital in northern Uganda to survive, but also to develop. By supporting this campaign you give children, women, and men of the region access to primary and specialized health care services. Giving to any of the campaign’s 10 chapters helps reaching Lacor’s fundraising goal to meet its diverse needs. Lacor’s needs may be recurring or temporary, but donations to each chapter ensure the hospital’s survival and growth.
By helping Lacor, your donation also indirectly contributes to the economic development of the region by injecting financial resources into the local economy through wages and local procurement. This localized stimulus reduces the socio-economic costs of disease and ensures the financial stability of families by not overwhelming them with the costs of health care – costs that could keep them living below the poverty line.
